The M-E-T-S Mets, Mets Mets killed the Marlins last night. They seem to be right in the swing of things now.
Jose had four hits, Wright has a hit in 24 straight games, Maine threw a no-no until the 7th inning, Delgado's bat has awoken and Moises Alou is playing like a kid. The Mets had 17 hits for Peyton's sake! (It is a lesser blasphemy to use the name Peyton instead of God)
It seems that the Mets are just having fun and playing baseball. I hope that they can keep that attitude for the remainder of the season. Given that baseball is a marathon, not a race, but time flies when you are having fun, and in sports that usually translates to winning records.
We're going to need it if we want to assert some dominance in this division for years to come. The ever-dangerous Braves I see as the biggest threat. Fuck the Phillies and Marlins and Nationals. Fuck Barry Bonds too, I hope they barely cover this record-setting home run. And fuck hippie pitcher Barry Zito for not signing with the Mets and staying on the West coast. What, you can't surf at the Jersey shore?

Fact checker reveals that Wright's hitting streak is at 25 games, not 24. Sorry for the error.
I also forgot to mention that we smacked around D-train last night. That's what HE gets for not signing with the Mets.
test
by the way...the anonymous test post came from me...was trying to figure this thing out
the marlins pathetic performance reminded me of BK trying to play me in pickleball at HP in 1993.
BEAT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DOH!
You can't use our names. Secret identities. MM is Figgythemick.
I know, I almost forgot that they beat up D-train.
Last night was bad but tonight was worse.
The Mets officially castrated the fishies tonight. If this was a Rocky movie, I'd be yelling in my raspiest of voices, "stay down Rock."
Everyone is gushing over Jose, rightfully so, but how good is Beltran? If all things were equal, he should have been MVP last year. Ryan Howard's good...but the Mole is better. Last time I checked, it was harder to play centerfield than first...especially to play it well.
Big Weekend...I'll be at Fenway.
Forgive us these trespasses.
Hello VanSeggren (a la Hello Newman!),
Good to see you around these parts. Now you are just going to have to also visit us at www.justnyjets.com which is a fan site about the Jets. Its all the rave.
At any rate, Figger the Mets are doing great as I suspected. But my concern is September and October pitching. I hate to put a damper on things but I feel we have enough juice to get us to September. But after that. Do you think Maine, Pelfry and possibly Hummer (sorry I couldnt resist) be our saving grace?
By the way, vanseggren can keep his name. But if some crazy fan doesn't like what he says about the Marlins, then they will try to hunt him down. At least that is what Mookie told me.
