Did you see the Mets game last night?
Jose hitting 2 triples (yeah, that's when you take three bases with one swing). And by the way, it's the third time he has had two triples in one game in his career...that's right, 3X!
Duke continues to get the job done driving him in from the two hole.
Oliver Perez pitched like all Mets fans think he can...and soon enough the media will see it too.
The thing is I don't think they have even hit their stride yet. I don't want to get ahead of myself but Delgado & David haven't even really started to hit with any power so we have a lot to look forward to...
Here are some wacky and funny numbers from the first four games...
In the first four games they have beaten their opponents by a score of 31-3 which is pretty ridiculous.
But even better is the number of runs scored in the first four games by their opponent(3)
The starting pitcher for the Mets has earned a win in each of the first four games.
Yeah, our pitching sucks?!
The attendance for the Braves' home opener was 51,014, a sellout.
I didn't see a whole lot of tomahawk chopping going on...
The Braves are a better team this year (better than Philly who they just swept in Philly) but I don't think they are 51,014 fans better. At least not when they are playing the Mets...not this year anyway.
Here's a couple interesting quotes:
"If you're gonna get beat, you might as well get the snot knocked out of you," Francoeur said.
I don't know Jeff, I'd rather just lose than get the snot beat out of me.
"That's about as good as I've ever seen him, I think," Braves manager Bobby Cox said. "A lot of strikes, good movement. We didn't have him in much trouble at all."
I hate Cox...he's a whiny old coot. But I gotta agree. I think Perez looked better than I have ever seen him. He was just pounding strikes. He didn't give the Braves any free passes. Oliver looked even better than he did in game 7 last year. A game 7 that pretty much earned him his spot this year. Boy, he is the wildcard...but if Ollie can give us 14-15 starts like he did last night. I think I might finally get that apology Jeff Passan owes all Mets fans.
Willie on Jose3X:
"He never ceases to amaze me," Randolph said. "He's one of those players, with everything he does we just look at each other and say wow."
Amen Willie. Amen.

And a Happy Easter and Passover to All!
Be sure to watch two legends go at it today...Smoltz & Glavine should be a good one.

Happy Passover? Dude, it's Easter. Next thing you know you'll be celebrating Kwansa.
I agree, Jose is awesome, I love when the Braves get crushed by the Mets, and OP looked pretty damn good. Gotta love it so far! And Delgado will come around, it's a good sign everyone is picking him up now.
I think it was the right call not charging Woodie with an E, as The Duck has crazy hidden speed.
Keep up the good work.
