The Mets bullpen is clearly showing signs of wear and tear and the end of the long season. However, I'm not worried about the Phillies, (perennial losers) and the Braves seem to be falling apart, so I think they are going to be okay.
That being said, Sept. 1st can't come quick enough. I hope they bring up all the able-bodied pitchers they have, including Joe Fucking Smith! That will give these guys like Feliciano, Heilman, Mota, etc. a rest so they will be geared up for the playoffs. Lawrence is not good enough to be a No. 5 starter, but once Pedro comes back the Mets are going to be in great shape with their starting five (assuming Maine pitches like April Maine and not second-half Maine). Glavine has been pitching pretty well after he got the 300 monkey off his back, OP is OP, and El Duque rocks the fucking Kazbah.
Hang on Mets fans, we're gonna be okay...

I'm glad you are reassuring because I am worrying. We absolutely have to win the series against the Braves or we are in real trouble.
I've been thinking this for two years, so here it is:
Red Sox nation thinks PEDRO is Red Sox property, it's not whether it's a valid claim or not, it's just there. So when Mets try to take it to the Division or the NL, it's like a comedian stealing another comedian's line. Pedro created Red Sox 2004, Mets may as well elect Mayor Menino head of the New York sports parade committee. I'm just saying this for Pedro's sake, I don't want him to suffer another injury from the strain of "Franchise confusion". Time to clear this up. Do you see what I mean?
"Mayor Menino" is WEEI code for "Pedro Martinez"
